Organizers hope to gather citizens together who are concerned about the current government

The event, "Enough is Enough UCP", is aimed at publicly expressing frustration on a number of fronts with the government.

Spokesperson Darrin Thompson said organizers have spent months planning the protest. "Things started to ramp up with every new bill that's been presented in the legislature. So with all the Bill 18, Bill 20, all these things that are basically attached to human rights and to our basic needs in this province, a lot of us said, no, no, that's enough of this and we need to come together."

People are asked to come together in Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary and Lethbridge. Thompson said they're hoping for big crowds.

"So the first action is to call on Albertans to mobilize with us for the day of action on Saturday, May 25th. And the day starts with our efforts to demand accountability, transparency, meaningful change from our government," explained Thompson.

"We want to get people out there, want to provide that platform for a voice."

The rallies get underway at 2:00pm.
