Ponoka, Alta. – In the early hours of Sept. 24, 2024, Ponoka RCMP received a report of a robbery at the Dollarama in Ponoka. Investigation revealed that two suspects broke into the store during the night. When staff entered the store in the morning they were approached by the two masked suspects who stole the victim's phones and currency from the store. The two suspects were observed communicating to a third suspect who is believed to have been waiting outside the store. The suspects vacated the store in an unknown vehicle. Police conducted a search of the area and the victim's phones were located outside.
The victims were not injured during the robbery. No weapons were produced.
