PONOKA COUNTY -- Ponoka County will be embarking on a number of road construction projects this year.

As part of their proposed work for 2025, crews will be tackling a three-mile stretch of Township Road 450 from Highway 20 West to Range Road 40. They'll also be working on 2.5 miles of Township Road 424 from the Queen Elizabeth II to Highway 2.

Road crews will also be performing chip seal work on Meadow Brook Road, Fifth Meridian Road, and Lone Tree Estate. For this work, crews will be removing trees and reshaping Meadow Brook Road, while a one-mile stretch of Fifth Meridian Road at Township Road 424 North will see chip and cement work.

Township Road 432 will also see work completed in 2025 at Range Road 250 West for about half a mile. Meantime, Ponoka County's graveling program is currently expected to begin at the end of May.

The proposed projects were presented to Ponoka County this week as part of the Public Works Superintendent Report.
