Town of Ponoka is Seeking Input
The Town of Ponoka is hoping to hear from residents regarding local community programming. They unveiled off a new questionnaire last weekend. "Public consultation is the cornerstone of everything that we do when we're trying to create new initiatives in any municipality and including here in Ponoka" explained the manager of Parks, Recreation and Facilities.
"We launched a community program survey and essentially what that's doing is we're asking all of our citizens in Ponoka to provide input into what they want to see for recreation programs, special events and different community programs in the town of Ponoka for the next three years" said Andrew Jones.
Jones pointed out it's been quite a while since they last sought public input.
"It's not the first time that we've done it, but the last time was quite a few years ago. So it's time to go back out and listen to the community and get all the great suggestions that they'll have."
The survey is open until June 5th and copies can be picked up at the town's office. It's also available online at letstalkponoka.ca.
