DEVON -- More than $250,000 worth of stolen property has been recovered by RCMP.

This follows an investigation that was launched after a series of commercial break-and-enters during November and December in the Devon area. According to the RCMP, the stolen property was recovered after a January 9th search warrant was executed at a property on Range Road 14 in Parkland County.

RCMP Corporal Troy Savinkoff says three men were arrested in connection with the crimes, though one of the men was already in police custody for an unrelated crime. "Ultimately we seized a great deal of stolen property," said Cpl. Savinkoff. "We're looking at individuals whose full-time jobs are committing these kinds of crimes."

The Mounties say they've been successful in identifying the owners of many of the stolen items. Several specific items have been seized that police believe are stolen, and they're now asking for public assistance in identifying their owners. Police ask the public to go to their Facebook page for a list and photos of these items. If you have not been contacted by police and your items are not on the list then they have not been located during this investigation.

"This investigation was an example of exemplary coordination between Devon, Leduc Parkland Detachments as well as the Alberta RCMP Community Response Team,"  says Sgt. Christopher Mosely Commander of the RCMP. "Focusing our enforcement efforts on repeat offenders such as these have the largest overall impact on reducing property crime."
