Procedural Bylaw Update Receives First, Second and Third Readings
The Procedural bylaw (2695/G/24) establishes guidelines for Council and its committees, outlining meeting requirements and procedures, legislative obligations, and Council's unique governance preferences. The Town's current Procedural bylaw was last revised in 2022 and was initially set for review in 2026. However, an early review was conducted due to amendments to processes planned for 2024 and recent changes to the Municipal Government Act.
At last night’s meeting, Council passed first, second and third readings for bylaw 2695/G/24, formally adopting it.

Council Accepts the 2024 Second Quarter Report for Information
The second Quarterly Report of 2024 has been presented to Council. Quarterly reports are a comprehensive reporting tool that serves as a benchmark for the ongoing operation of the Town of Stony Plain. Throughout the year, reports are compiled to track progress toward strategic goals and highlight organizational achievements.
At last night’s meeting, the Council accepted the 2024 Second Quarter Report for information. The full Q2 report is available on the Reports, Studies, and Plans page.
