Parkland RCMP General Investigation Section lay fraud charges after extensive investigation

On Dec. 12, 2023, Parkland RCMP was contacted by Cut knife RCMP in Saskatchewan regarding a fraud which occurred in Parkland jurisdiction. The fraud was regarding the sale of a $70,000 travel trailer, and the suspects used another persons identity at Vision RV in Acheson.

Parkland General Investigation Section (GIS) engaged in an extensive investigation which led to the identification of two suspects.

Derek Maurice Dupuis (42), a resident of Edmonton, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Fraud;
  • Laundering proceeds of crime;
  • Failing to comply with an Undertaking.

Dupuis was brought before a Justice of the Peace and issued a release order with his next court date scheduled for April 16, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain.

David Matthew Moore (52), a resident of Edmonton, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Fraud;
  • Laundering proceeds of crime;
  • Failing to comply with an Undertaking.

Moore was brought before a Justice of the Peace and issued a release order with his next court date scheduled for April 9, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain.
