Parkland RCMP arrest two after attempted armed robbery

Parkland, AB

On Sept. 4, 2024, at approximately 3:56 p.m., Parkland RCMP responded to a complaint of a male suspect with a firearm at the Ford Dealership on Golden Spike Road. Employees interrupted what they believed to be an attempted theft and one was bear sprayed. RCMP attended and followed the suspects throughout the city and eventually apprehended two of them. Two suspects are currently in custody.

RCMP understand that many people would have witnessed the incidents and want to ensure the public that there is no longer a risk to anyone. We understand how situations such as this can make a community feel uneasy, but rest assured, your local RCMP quickly responded to the incident and ensured a successful conclusion. 

An update will be sent once charges have been laid and the suspects can be named.
