Spruce Grove, AB
Walls are going up on both the exterior and interior of the Civic Centre facility, as the structure continued to take shape throughout April. Check out the monthly one-minute timelapse for April and see it for yourself!
In the spectator arena, installation of the exterior wall panel and the roof are ongoing and most of the concrete for the seating bowl has been completed. The concourse area has also been prepped and is ready for concrete.
Over in the community arena, the structural slab that supports the ice slab has been completed and the installation of the major mechanical ducting over top of the ice has started.
Walls for the dressing rooms in both arenas are nearing completion, and electrical panels and other related infrastructure have been delivered and are being prepared for installation.
On the south side of the building, the structural steel for the new branch of the Spruce Grove Public Library, the art gallery, and the lobby continues going up and underground mechanical and electrical work has begun for the black box theatre.
With the arrival of warmer temperatures, plans are also being made for parking at the facility. On-site construction trailers are being moved to the completed areas of the Transit Centre in preparation to start working on the parking lot.
