Spruce Grove, AB

Last night City Council was presented with the 2024 Q2 Quarterly Report, which contains key strategic, operational and financial results for April, May and June 2024.

Highlights from the Q2 report include statistics and financial information, spring and summer program and event updates, initiatives to improve safety and wellness in the community, and other work aligned with City Council's 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.

In this quarter, there were many exciting programs and events that took place in the spring and early summer, and the report highlights the success of some of those events including the Canada Day celebrationSpruce Up Spruce Grove, and Teen Takeover.

The Q2 2024 report also includes updates on initiatives that help improve the safety and wellbeing of our residents. Notably, the Community Standards Bylaw came into effect on July 1 to help ensure our community remains safe and inviting for everyone. On June 10, City Council approved reducing speed limits in residential neighbourhoods from 50 km/hr to 40 km/hr to improve safety for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. And, in the spring the City made changes to its Quality Management Plan requiring additional inspections in an effort to improve residential building safety.

Quarterly reports provide Council and the community an update on the activities of the City of Spruce Grove, services, trending data and insight into the work being undertaken related to the themes in Council’s 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.

Data from the second quarter was added to the City’s Reporting Dashboard earlier this summer.

Previous quarterly reports can be viewed online.
