Ballpark Construction Update

 The EDMONTON PROSPECTS BASEBALL CLUB of the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) are extremely excited to announce that they will be officially changing their name sometime in early 2025.

As Myshak Metro Ballpark – powered by Genics, edges closer to reality and a new dawn for baseball in Canada is about to unfold, the “TEAM” firmly believes that the time is right to present a new name, a new brand and a new story that ALL fans in the Greater Metro Edmonton Region can proudly call their own.

A team-naming contest will take place, and the new name, brand, uniforms and mascot will be revealed in early 2025. Stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, the team will move forward on an interim basis as “THE EDMONTON BASEBALL TEAM”.

The TEAM would also like to announce at this time that the Tentative Opening Date(s) for MYSHAK METRO BALLPARK have been set for the June 7-8, 2025 weekend, but cautions that these dates may change as weather and construction challenges dictate.

The EDMONTON BASEBALL TEAM is owned and operated by the GOLD SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION INC. and has been a member of the WCBL since its inception in 2005.
