Ponoka Battle River Run

The 2025 Ponoka Battle River Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 9:00 am. Hosted by the Town of Ponoka and R2 Fitness, the event offers 10K, 5K, and a free 1K Kids loop. Run along the scenic Battle River through Ponoka’s Battle River Valley trial system. Our 5km loop will be run entirely on paved trails while the 10km loop will include some stretches of off-road trails. Races start and end at the Baden Powell Adventure Center. 

Course Details:

• 5K Loop: Entirely on paved trails.
• 10K Loop: Includes stretches of off-road trails.

Registration Fees:

• Adults (18 & Over):
  • Early Bird (until January 1, 2025): $50
  • Regular (January 2 – March 20, 2025): $60
  • Late (March 21 – April 5, 2025): $70
• Under 18: $30
• Kids Loop: Free (no registration required)

Registration includes chip-timed results, post-race snacks, and a long-sleeved shirt (guaranteed if registered before March 28). Shirt sizes range from Unisex S to 3XL, with additional charges for 2XL ($3.00) and 3XL ($7.00). All proceeds fund graduation scholarships at Ponoka Secondary Campus and St. Augustine School.

Awards and Results: The event features official chip-timed races with live online results during the race and full printable results and downloadable finisher certificates afterward. Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 10K and 5K. Results will be categorized by age groups: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+, with top three in each category receiving downloadable award certificates.
