Leduc RCMP lay charges for child pornography

Leduc RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) were notified of a resident, living in Leduc, who was believed to be in possession of Child pornography and had distributed it online. Following a joint investigation between Leduc GIS with the assistance of Leduc RCMP Crime Reduction Unit and Alberta RCMP Internet Child Exploitation unit, on Jan.15, 2025, police executed a search warrant on a residence in Leduc and arrested the suspect.

Anton Stepanko, a 37- year- old resident of Leduc, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of child pornography;
  • Distribution of child pornography;
  • Accessing child pornography

Stepanko was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released on a release order with conditions.

Stepanko is scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc on Jan.23, 2025.
